Hi my name is Jackie Flanagan and I co-ordinate Sunday School for St John's Church. We meet each Sunday at 10.00am in the Mission Hall while the Sunday service takes place in Church. Our classes normally takes around 45 minutes. All our classes are held in the Mission Hall adjacent to the car park and we have 6 groups aged 0-3, 3-5, 5-7, 7-9, 9-11 and our youth group. Our 0-3 group must be supervised by their parents. We teach using appropriate material on the basic christian faith with arts/crafts encouraged to make learning fun and practical. All our helpers are on a voluntary basis and we are always on the look out for new recruits. |

The children rejoin the service for the Eucharist. Every 3rd Sunday of the month we all meet at 10.00am in Church
to join the All Age Worship. |
Christmas is a very special time as we make decorations in Sunday School to put on the tree in Church. These are normally, the shepherds, wise men, angels and the star. We also enjoy joining in with our Christingle Service held on Christmas Eve and a group of helpers come along on the morning of Christmas Eve to help make the Christingle's. We hold parties for the children and in the past have taken the older children to a local pantomime. The younger ones have a party and if they are lucky, then they even get a visit from Father Christmas who brings each of them a little gift. |

We also try and raise money towards the restoration fund (which will keep our church in all its glory for many years to come). |
